About Kahne
Kahne grew from the concept of applying smart sensor technology to an electronic data capture platform. The concept is now a suite of in vivo sensors transmitting rumen biometrics through a network of telemetry to target computers.
Kahne has an internal and external network of world class scientists and specialists who have designed, built and taken to the market technical products used in rumen nutrition research, animal health and behaviour, and environmental analysis.
Managing Director (and co-founder), Michael Eivers
Michael Eivers has over 30 years experience in New Zealand farming industry and has represented Gisborne and Wairoa for several years on the regional Beef Council. Michael has been extensively involved in projects that progress pastoral farming in New Zealand.
R&D, Dr Jose Laporte-Uribe
Jose Laporte-Uribe has vast experience and in-depth knowledge of animal nutrition, where he specialized in rumen physiology and ecology. His areas of expertise includes applied sensor technology, statistical analysis, and is a qualified veterinarian
Manufacturing and Engineering, Frank Brooks, Michael Steer
Frank Brooks has significant expertise in sensor development, radio-telemetry systems, manufacturing and engineering, and has successfully worked on a range of sensor projects for small to medium sized businesses.
Michael Steer has a Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electronics and Computer), and is responsible for production and developing the software.

Patrick Fernley has several years experience in sales and marketing, business planning and development in the scientific industry. He has vast experience working with international clients and a strong history of account management.
